Scent sprays and mohair conditioner do different jobs. One adds fragrance to fabric around your reborn. The other is used on suitable mohair as part of its care.

Choose by what the product is for, rather than its scent name. A baby powder fragrance, for example, does not tell you whether a spray belongs on fabric or hair.

Scent sprays are for fabric

Moon & Milk’s fabric scent sprays add fragrance to suitable removable clothing and blankets. They are optional accessories, not cleaning products or hair treatments.

Use them on fabric away from the doll, following the bottle’s directions. Let the fabric dry completely before it touches vinyl or mohair. Never spray a fabric fragrance directly onto your reborn.

The current 50 ml scent sprays come in Baby powder, Vanilla Milk and Bubble bath. Shake gently, test on a hidden area first and mist the fabric lightly. Use sparingly, as too much may spot fabric, and let it dry fully before doll contact. Follow the directions on your own bottle if you have an older product.

Mohair conditioner is for suitable hair

Moon & Milk’s current 50 ml mohair conditioning mists come in Baby powder and Baby shampoo. They are leave-in products intended for suitable reborn mohair. It is not needed for painted hair, and suitability for synthetic hair or wigs should not be assumed.

Follow your doll artist’s care advice and the product directions. Patch-test a hidden section first, apply lightly and avoid soaking the hair or spraying the vinyl.

Work carefully when brushing. If a tangle resists, stop rather than pulling harder or adding more product. Conditioner cannot secure loose rooting or repair missing hair.

The rooted mohair care guide covers brushing and conditioning in more detail.

Do you need both?

Only if you want both things. A doll with painted hair does not need mohair conditioner. A collector who prefers unscented clothing can leave fragrance out altogether.

Check the intended use on each listing before choosing. Product names and fragrances may change, but the distinction stays simple—fabric fragrance for fabric, mohair products for the hair they are made for.
