A sealed formula bottle is a collector prop made to look like a bottle of milk. It can be used in photographs, displays and pretend-feeding scenes with a reborn doll.
The contents are imitation formula, not something to drink. Although the bottle may have started as a feeding bottle, the finished prop must never be used to feed a baby or animal.
What does sealed mean?
The closure is bonded shut to keep the imitation formula inside. It is intended to stay closed, rather than being opened, emptied or refilled.
Treat it as a handmade prop. Do not squeeze the teat or try to loosen the seal.
Choosing a bottle
Choose a shape and design you like, then check the listing for its size and what is included. A smaller bottle may look more proportionate beside a smaller reborn, while a taller bottle makes a different detail in a display.
The bottle does not need to fit inside your doll’s mouth. For photographs or pretend feeding, hold it near the mouth without forcing the teat against the paint or into an opening.
Looking after it
- Wipe the outside with a soft cloth.
- Store it upright and away from heat.
- Leave the bonded closure intact.
- Follow any instructions supplied with your bottle, including whether to shake it gently.
- Stop using it if the bottle is damaged or the seal leaks.
Keep it out of reach of children and separate from bottles used for real feeding. It is a display accessory, not a child’s toy.
Using it with your collection
A sealed bottle can sit beside a folded outfit, appear in a box-opening photograph or form part of a larger display. There is no need to add liquid to your doll or press the bottle into its mouth to create the scene.
